The moment our kids are born, the worry about paying for college stars, but a big part of the burden can be eased by enrolling toFlorida Prepaid,  a financial plan that allows families in Florida to prepare for our kid’s educational future.  Open Enrollment Period for Florida Prepaid,  started on October 15th.

Florida Prepaid plans are guaranteed by the State of Florida.

As the word plans implies, there are different options to chose from and allows you to contribute in different ways. Secondly, not only are there financial plans to prepay, there are many options to choose from.  You can do monthly payments or in a lump-sum, and chose if the money goes for tuition, room and board, and even specified fees.

The plan kicks in once your kids get ready to go to college, and cover can be used at any Florida state university or college depending upon what you have chosen from the menu offered.  Your child  goes to school out of state, and the plan still covers the same amount as if your child would be attending a Florida higher education institution.
